Is there really no cost to attend the Superintendent Summit?
Basic lodging, meal, and airfare costs associated with attendance at the Superintendents Summit are underwritten by the Institute. Invitees who attend this event will receive three nights lodging during the event (can fall on the following nights: Tues, Wed, Thurs and/or Fri), al Summit meals and receptions, and travel reimbursement allocation based on Summit location.
How will the Summit attendees be reimbursed for airfare?
Each attendee who submits a travel receipt(s) for Summit travel by the submission deadline, will receive a reimbursement check at the event. Receipts received after the deadline or post summit will be mailed to your selected address post event.
how many superintendents will participate in the summit?
Participation is by invitation only and will be limited to approximately 70 superintendents.
Can Spouses or significant others attend the summit?
Spouses or life partners are welcome to accompany attendee and enjoy the provided accommodations at the resort. DALI offers a guest pass for those who would like their guest to accompany them to meals and receptions throughout the duration of the summit. (The guest pass fee is waived for current DALI members.) Airfare reimbursement is proveded for participating superintendents/designee only.
Will attendance at future superintendents summits also be possible?
Yes, member districts are able to attend Summits annually. Districts who are not members are able to attend once every 3 years. Future Summit locations will be announced at the event.
What topics will be covered in the Summit program?
Planned topics include school improvement strategies, mobile learning, district marketing, online and virtual schooling, curriculum and assessment, student data systems, classroom technology, health and wellness, CTE, post-secondary success, equity and access, and developing career pathways. Sessions will be led by recognized experts, with ample opportunity for interactive plenary sessions and attendee networking.

The Superintendents Summit is sponsored by an invitation-only group of leading innovators in K-12 education whose top executives value high-level interaction with influential superintendents. There will be no sales presentations at the event.
