District Administration’s National Awards Program
The December Superintendents Summit is more than a leadership gathering. It’s where we celebrate the best in the field.
Each year at our December summit, District Administration hosts the DA Awards of Distinction gala — recognizing the K-12 leaders and districts doing work that deserves a national stage. Four award categories honor outstanding programs, visionary leaders, women driving equity and outcomes, and the year’s top superintendent. Winners are announced on stage, in front of peers from across the country.

Award Categories
Marlon Styles
Marlon Styles is an educational leader, speaker, and author of Make Your Move. He was named a Top 30 Digital Trailblazer by the Center for Digital Education in 2017, and under his leadership at Middletown City Schools, the district earned the ISTE Distinguished District Award in 2019. He testified before the United States Congress in 2020, and K-12 Dive named him Superintendent of the Year that same year for his national advocacy and leadership. In 2025, District Administration named him one of the Top 100 Education Influencers. Marlon’s mission is to inspire educators to see themselves as empowered leaders capable of creating the learning experiences today’s students need to thrive.
Are you attending for the first time?
Many of DALI’s most committed members attended their first summit as a guest — and joined before they left. When you experience what it means to be in a room built exclusively for district leaders, membership tends to make itself an easy decision.
DALI members attend summits as part of their membership — no separate registration required. Standard members choose one summit or the Executive Cabinet Retreat annually. Deluxe members choose two.
